20th - 23rd August: Hands on History: Paw print tiles & Summer Storytelling

Hands on History Crafts running 11am – 3pm, drop in at any time during this period to make your craft! Craft activities should take between 20 and 30 minutes to make. Your £3 ticket also includes taking part in our two story telling sessions held at 12pm and 3pm. *Ticket for participation in crafts and storytelling only, entry ticket to museum required.

Hands on History: Did you know that a cheeky Tudor mut left behind a paw print? Alongside one of the ship's galley's we uncovered a Tudor tile with the unmistakeable shape of a dogs paw print. Be inspired by this imprint left by mans best friend over 479 years ago and create your very own clay tile, you can imprint yours with a dog paw, design your own pattern or make your mark with your own hand. This fun and creative activity allows children to create their own air drying clay tile to take home.                                    

Summer Storytelling: Enjoy two storytelling sessions led by our costumed Tudor's, explore the world of Vlad the Flea and You wouldnt want to sail aboard the Mary Rose!  Dont forget to dress the part and take your photo as a Tudor!
