If you have already purchased tickets for an event please contact museum@maryrose.org for further advice, however all tickets will be honoured for future dates.

Spend your Sunday morning exercising your mind, body and soul in an incredibly unique environment.

Yoga in The Museum is a yoga session with a difference! Taking place on the Upper Deck Balcony area of our museum galleries, you will be afforded stunning views of the Mary Rose, in a peaceful and captivating setting.

Sessions will take place on Saturday 25th April, led by Instructor Amanda Gatrell.  Please choose one at time of booking.

Amanda describes the workshop as:

Working on creating a dreamy practice by gently anchoring into the body and mind. Releasing tension during the class will help to bring your attention into the present and aid to calming the mind in the intense surroundings of the Mary Rose.

Your session will begin at 9:15am, taking place whilst the museum is closed to everyday guests. The class will be taught at beginner to intermediate level and will be taught right next to the world’s only surviving Tudor Warship.

Amanda will take you through a beginner to intermediate workshop, expertly taught to draw out your inner yogi. Throughout the workshop mood lighting will highlight the ship, and gentle music will help ease you into a peaceful, calming and relaxed vibe.

After the session we will welcome you to our Wardroom and VIP balcony, which gives stunning views across the harbor. Here you can enjoy a light breakfast of herbal teas, fruit juice and mini pastries as you take in the sights.

You are welcome to explore the museum at your leisure, and will receive 10% off in our shop and cafe.

Ticket includes:

  • Hours yoga class

  • Use of Upper Deck Gallery with viewing balcony and within the same air space as the ship

  • A light breakfast of herbal teas, fruit juice and mini pastries

  • Use of our Wardroom and VIP Balcony - giving views across Portsmouth Harbor

  • After session, free to explore the museum
